Can children attend shows at The Montalbán Theatre?
For Rooftop Screenings and Live Theatre Showings, guests ages 14 and younger are welcome at the parent or guardian’s discretion. Please be mindful of each film’s rating, as some titles may not be suitable for children. If you have questions about a specific show, feel free to contact us.
Is The Montalbán Theatre accessible for guests with disabilities?
Our main theatre offers accessible seating in the orchestra section. However, there is no elevator, so the mezzanine, balcony, and rooftop are only accessible by stairs. Please call us at (323) 871-2420 to reserve seats.
Do you provide hearing assistance devices?
Yes, we provide hearing assistance devices. Please contact us in advance of a performance for more information.
What is the rain policy for rooftop screenings?
We strive to keep our screening schedule even if rain is predicted. If needed, we may use our indoor theatre to accommodate guests, provided it's not booked. If rain forces a cancellation during a screening, we will issue coupons for a future rooftop screening. If you prefer not to attend due to rain, we can apply your admission fees to a future date. Please email us at Info@themontalban.com or call our box office at 323-461-6999 with your ticket receipt number, name, and preferred future date at least 48 hours before the screening. Note that our capacity is limited to 230 patrons nightly. We've only had one rainout in four years, so your comfort is our priority.
